BFF Lead Ready
A first-lead workshop for youth climbers aged 11–16 who are comfortable on top rope or auto-belay and can climb 6a+ on the high wall.
- 2pm–5pm at Tampines Hub
- Maximum 8 climbers · 1:4 coaching ratio
- $95 including entry, equipment and verification assessment
- Lead climbing only—lead belaying is not included

Verification before belaying or leading.
At Tampines Hub, climbers must have their competency verified before top-rope belaying or lead climbing and belaying.
Top Rope Belaying
Tests knots, equipment knowledge and top-rope belaying protocols. Bring a partner; both climbers are verified.
Lead Climbing & Belaying
Tests knots, awareness, clipping, climbing and lead-belaying protocols. Bring a partner.
Kids Leading
Allows lead climbing only—not belaying. Bring an adult partner who can lead belay proficiently.

Do adults need to take a class before climbing?
No. Adults can visit Climb Zone independently after creating an account and completing the required safety briefing.
Does the youth lead workshop teach belaying?
No. BFF Lead Ready teaches lead climbing only. Lead belaying is not included.
Do I need verification for auto-belay?
No. Verification is not required for auto-belay or for top-rope climbing with a belayer who has already passed BFF verification.
